1. I still believe in Santa Claus. And not in that mambi pambi, ‘Santa is a spirit that dwells in us all nonsense.’ I’ve spent 10 years stuffing my kid’s stockings and every Christmas morning I still think/hope/wish I’ll find something I know wasn’t stuck there by me.
2. Oddly enough, I don’t believe in Jesus Christ. One would think with my absolute belief in a fat man who lives with hundreds of elves and travels by magic reindeer, that Christianity wouldn’t be such a leap of faith for me…but it is. Had to make a change here…not sure what to make of it but Jesus answered a prayer of mine and so I have to change this one to I do believe in Jesus Christ…just not certain where that belief will lead.
3. My favorite song is “September” by Earth, Wind, and Fire.

7. I don’t like chocolate cake.
8. I love the show Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman.
9. I’ve completed every Zelda game, except the latest one which I’m working on.
10. I’m obsessed with my hair. Am I a short hair, Jamie Lee Curtis sort or am I a long hair Catherine Zeta Jones sort? What color should it really be? These questions plague me the way universal mysteries must plague the Dali Lama.
11. I like Spam.
12. My favorite element is air.
13. My favorite numbers are 13 and 3.
14. I grew up in Rockville, Maryland.
15. When I was a kid I wanted to be a fairy godmother when I grew up. Not much has changed.
16. I don’t like Oprah Winfrey or Bill O’Reilly.
17. I do like “All My Children”, entirely too much.
18. I enjoy climbing trees.
19. I dance around my house to disco music and Hannah Montana songs. Thankfully my neighbor across the street is blind. Not so lucky for me, he’s selling his house and it’s unlikely the next person who lives there will also be blind.
20. I don’t like surprise parties, for me or for other people.
21. If I were a ‘Were’ creature, I think it would be a were-cat (not for how cool they look and move) but because they (well cats, so I’m assuming the ‘Were’ variety as well) sleep 16 hours a day and I would very much like to. If based on personality, I think I’d be a were-coon.
22. I like hand washing my floors.
23. I adore Will Ferrell.
24. One of my favorite movies is “Love Actually”.
25. Another is “The Ghost and Mrs. Muir”.
26. I have two children, though my mother is dreaming that I will soon have a third.
27. If I was a student at Hogwart’s (which would require all that to be real and me to be far younger than I am) I would most likely be in House HufflePuff. I love the part where the sorting hat has a very long poem about the houses and says of Hufflepuff, “…I’ll take the rest.”
28. I knit and am hoping I’ll get past scarves sometime in the next decade.
29. I have yet to find a tea that I can stand drinking. It’s all just stewed weeds to me.

31. My favorite flower is the hydrangea.
32. I like scrapbooking, but am dismal at it.
33. If you are what you eat, I’m a Frappucino mixed with mushrooms and green grapes. And I wonder why I haven’t made any new friends since moving to Montana.
34. I truly enjoy Yoga.
35. I eat cookie dough right out of the tube and haven’t the faintest idea if it actually tastes good when it’s been cooked.
36. Brownies in a tube are equally good cold and yet again, have no idea how well it cooks up.
37. I find Ciaran Hinds terribly sexy.

43. I dream of visiting Ireland.
44. My favorite color is a pale, silver blue.
45. When I was 13 I found a really old book about witchcraft that gave a recipe/spell for flying. I didn’t have any of the ingredients it called for, so I improvised, substituting things that seemed similar. Which is why I found myself naked, covered with pepper, chamomile tea, and Crisco, hopping around on a broom at the golf course behind the house I grew up in. Needless to say, it didn’t work.
46. I regret that I haven’t been as randy as I might have been.
47. I don’t believe I’m very flirtatious, at least I don’t feel like a flirt. (Topic stolen from Erica). These days I tend to feel like a pagan nun(We look like your garden variety nun, except we have horns).
48. Proud member of the SSS (Secret Spam Society).
49. One of my favorite books is “A Tree grows in Brooklyn”.
50. My favorite quote is: “Time is a companion that goes with us on the journey. Reminding us to cherish every day, because it will never come again. What we leave behind is not so important as how well we lived”. (Capt. Picard , ‘Generations’).
51. I’ve dated men and women and find them both equally confusing. Infact, I tend to confuse myself and thats on good days.
52. I tend to believe I’m normal.
53. I want to learn to play the violin.
54. I don’t know how to swim.
55. I like running because it makes me feel like I’m racing with the wind.
56. I’m a very plain looking person, but just once I would like to look beautiful…or at least pretty.

77. I hunt ghosts for a hobby.
78. One of my favorite places in the United States is Virginia City, Montana.
79. I want a cigarette so bad right now I could scream…and am trying desperately not to substitue that desire with the basket of M&M’s in my kitchen.
80. Did not give in to the above craving…instead knitted on my second vegan fox. Soon, I’ll have to join some knitted fox addiction group. *sigh*
81. I drive an FJ Cruiser and adore it!
82. My favorite Star Wars character is Qui Gon (New School), Han Solo (Old School).
83. My cats and dogs insist on doing yoga with me, thus making it more challenging. Try doing a downward dog with a cat on your back and a Pomeranian licking your ankles!
84. My eyes are green. My last name is pronounced ‘brown eyes’.
85. My favorite perfumes are made by Chanel.
86. I had a secret admirer once in my life (turned out to be my friend Dana) and it felt great to get little gifts and know that someone thought I was special.

89. I can’t get this fact out of my mind: That the first hanging in North America was a Puritan who had sex with a wild turkey, as well as other animals. How does one have sex with a wild turkey? I hear turkeys are difficult to shoot. It’s simply too odd.
90. I also keep having this quote ramble about the forefront of my thoughts: How much Healthy Choice ice cream can you eat before it’s no longer a healthy choice?
91. I make candy a lot. I feel like it’s personal challenge to make it well, because I’ve been told how difficult it is to make most candies from scratch. My favorite is maple snow candy (which is the easiest…pour maple syrup on fresh snow and lick away).

94. My son’s nickname (I made it up when he was a baby) is Lord Bibble-Schniffer.
95. My daughter has many nicknames, but prefers Princess Sugar Bean.

98. I tend to re-name people so they fit better in my universe and expect others to adhere to my changes.
99. I don’t like wine.
100. I truly like my life.
101. I don’t like the way 98% of people’s feet look. The exceptions: Rubin (who also makes the best grilled steak I’ve ever eaten) has gorgeous feet and my friend Erica has the nicest feet of any woman I know. Mine look like fat little pigs hung out to dry.

this is a good idea, perhaps I will list 100 things as well, if I can think of them. I love the movie “The Ghost and Mrs. Muir”, but then I am a hopeless romantic so that would make sense.

I’d love to see your 100.
I too am a hopeless romantic, maybe I should do a list of my favorite romantic things…hmmm….

Had some time while sitting in a very boring training session to fly by for a visit. Just wanted to say thank you again for visiting with me at the nest and for being a contributor. I will be back to visit some more, but you have a very gorgeous site. Love the harmony of colors. I couldn’t list 100 things; don’t know if there is 100 thangs anyone would be interested in knowing. Besides, I don’t know if I could count to this number! So I guess the point is moot, oui?
BTW, when I click on our ‘avatar’, it doesn’t redirect me. And I say, “hmmm!”

I meant to say “your” avatar! Not “our” avatar!” I’m getting better at proofing prior to posting comments, but not that much! I’m aspiring to do better! Oh, come by and see the addition I made to the Halloween Contest. I think you will like it!
Outta here!

I have no answers on why my avatar takes people nowhere…maybe thats a good thing, shes a nice girl and shouldn’t be bringing strangers home on a whim.
Thanks for visiting…I just adore your blog and will be around often.

Just tilted the wings to pivot back to this page! I think it has something to do with your Profile.
Something similar happened to me when I first began this blogging thing, but I can’t seem to recall what exactly I had to do! I’ll check my ol’ emails to see if it is recoverable.
Thanks for the kudos on the sight. I like yours too!
You make me smile and that’s quite an accomplishment because my beak has NO flexibility! LAMS!
Peace My Sister!!!!

How in the world do you not know how to swim?
When I was about 7-years, someone through me out of the boat and said, “boy, swim”! And you know something, I didn’t drown. Just thought I would share that with you. BTW, Longstreet was a great General for the Confederacy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was terrified of the water as a child, I simply didn’t trust the water to do what it should. Weird, I know, but there it is. As to now, I would love to learn to swim, but have yet to find a swim class that can fit in my schedule…I keep hoping. Your way of learning to swim reminds me of Paula Poundstone’s stand up, her mother shares a similar type of childhood memory…Paula’s reply, “Mom, they weren’t rying to teach you to swim.”
October 12, 2007 at 1:19 am
I adore James Longstreet, I think I have every book written about him.
October 13, 2007 at 3:26 pm
Paula Poundstone, an interesting comic for sure! I heard her relate this in one of her routines. If you were close-enough, I would throw you in the river!
Peace…

Not entirely certain how to take your comment, but suffice it to say I’m rather relieved you don’t live nearby.
October 15, 2007 at 2:14 pm
Jus’ funning with you a bit here regarding the swimming bit! Please accept my apology if it made you feel a bit uncomfortable. This was not my intent I assure you. I will ease up on the swimming thang for sure!
Later…………………………………………

No worries birdman.

OK- so I popped in for a visit and had an enjoyable time LMAO at your 100. That is very good and my favorite, for sure, is #45! The intent was innocent, the action taken was pure perserverance, and the visual was hilarious. Thanks for a great laugh this morning!
BTW- I have taught swimming adults and children and by far, children are easier to teach because of the naivety factor. Adults just seem to know too darn well what will happen if they don’t get this one right and it puts a real damper on teaching!! Not to mention, unswimming big people are some of the heaviest people on the earth! LOL!! So much for floating!
I have all the best intentions about learning to swim, there just never seems to be time to fit the lessons in with everything else. I’m glad you enjoyed #45…I’m still looking for a good flying potion…I’ll be sure to post about it, if I find one that works. *l*

Although it might take some time for me to read absolutely EVERYTHING that you wrote here..I still happen to think that you seem like a quite interesting person, to say the least!!
I happened upon your blog, because I am still reading The Ghosts of 87th Lane..and I like it, but, I also think, why did she have to live there, if these ghosts lived with her, as in why couldn’t she have either moved or moved them out? to the light, say?
But, then again, what do I know?! LOL!!
I am also seriously thinking about writing to her ! I think, just from a strong gut hunch that she is similar to me..and that we could be friends! When I read her book, it is soo similar to the way that I am!! Kind of funny too!!
But, I also was drawn to your site..and it still looks really intriguing to me..so I have bookmarked you!
Anyhow, glad that you are here and blogging!! I think that your blog is really interesting..will have to read more !!

Thanks so much for stopping by.
I look forward to hearing what you think of ‘Ghosts of 87th Street” when you finish it. Come back soon. *hugs*

You seem like a nice person.
Re:#89. No doubt the Puritans believed the human involved was possessed by a demon and turkey loving was a convienient accusation. Either that or the turkey seduced him. That’s more likely than anything else.
Good blog. Thank you.
Fowl seduction indeed…poor Puritan didn’t know what hit him!
Thanks for visiting, I’m heading over to your neck of the woods to look around.

Turkeys, monquees and hare in one conversation. AND I get added to your blogroll. Please look for your link at the bottom of my page. It’s nice when I’m right sometimes. Thanks, lady

I have just discovered your website and find it very cool. I also find it interesting that you and I both love the song “September” by Earth, Wind and Fire. I thought I was the only white girl from Rockville, MD who loved it.
And I also dream of visiting Ireland. We should go together someday, no kids, no husbands.
