Pimento Cheese Sandwich Experiment, The Sequel

Published April 21, 2011 by missharleyquinn

I recently read an article that highlighted the pimento cheese spread sandwich served at the Masters Tournament in Augusta National in Georgia.  It is reputed to be the best of this southern staple, some folks attending the tournament for the sandwich not the golf!  Which of course had me intrigued…

I felt no need to re-invent the wheel, so instead decided to rely on the kindness of strangers.  Our favorite recipe re-creating this sandwich has to be from the Tiny Test Kitchen.  The authoress created an amazing Unofficial Masters Pimento Cheese Sandwich which the IMps and I enjoyed immensely this afternoon.

We’re still rather northern about it though, preferring it open faced and on toasted bread. 🙂

  • Hi Miss Quinn, thank you so much for reposting my recipe! We made it again for the Masters on both Saturday and Sunday. I have to try it on toasted bread. It sounds like a delicious twist! Vienna*

Thanks for stopping by and an even bigger thank you for creating this amazing recipe. We can’t seem to stop making and devouring it. 🙂
